The Full Circle Award was initiated as a means to engage our Ringette Association and its players with the community in which we live. It is important to the Association that all of our players embody the values of the community, including leadership, integrity and hard work. It is appropriate that there are ambassadors of our sport and the Association – players who embody the Spirit of Ringette on and off the ice. The chosen ambassadors have demonstrated commitment to the game of Ringette by working hard at each practice and demonstrating fair play every game, showing respect to their
coaches, teammates, managers and parents and displaying sportsmanship in times of adversity.

This award is awarded annually as a tribute to one of our founding members, Shelley Laycock.  As a community member, Shelley’s dedication to the sport of Ringette was instrumental in establishing our Association.  As a player, coach and executive, Shelley exemplified the qualities we ask of our players today.
